Stacy Dilling has joined the American Lung Association as our Chief Marketing Officer. Stacy is a highly accomplished marketing executive with a successful track record in brand management, team leadership, integrated communications, digital marketing and media. In her previous role as Executive Director of Marketing and Communications at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Stacy excelled in leading go-to-market activities, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to science and inspiring discovery. Under her leadership, the museum surpassed business goals with increased attendance and revenue.
Stacy's expertise spans audience research, media optimization and strategic partnerships. She successfully transitioned the museum's media approach to be data-driven, efficiently targeting prospects using customer and transactional data. Her collaborative efforts with the Development team led to numerous successful fundraising campaigns.
Before joining the Field Museum, Stacy spent over 17 years in the advertising agency world in New York and Chicago, including roles at FCB and Saatchi & Saatchi. She served as the VP Account Director at HY Connect (now Merge), managing integrated advertising efforts for Advocate Health Care, achieving successful engagement and increased mammography appointments.
Before her marketing career, Stacy gained research experience at West LA Veterans Administration Medical Center in the Department of Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences. Stacy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California.
Stacy resides in the Chicago area with her family and works out of the Chicago office.
