Diane S., WI

My lung issues started 8 years ago. I had a chest X-ray after a surgery and spots were noticed in my right lung. For 6 years I had low dose lung scan once a year to watch for nodules change. They showed change July of 2022. I had biopsy’s and tests resulting in surgery of removal of lower lobe and upper segment with cancer tumors. I was left with four other small nodules. The cancer ones were stage 1.  April of 2023 I had a tumor in middle of leftover lung radiation to kill the cancer.  I was switched to stage 3 then. So far I’m free!  Watch the others left with scan every 6 months! If it wasn’t for watching them over the years I’d be deceased by now! Thank you for research doing this! I lost my father in 2006 and my son in 2014 with lung cancer. Each one I can see medical improvement in the field!
