Betty D., PA

My journey began on Feb. 7, 2018.

Went to work. Not feeling good came home and slept for four hours. Which is not like me. My friend took me to urgent care where they could find no vitals on me. I should have been dead then. I was rushed to the hospital with double kidney failure sepsis, pnemonia flu, respiratory failure, blood infection. They put me in a induced coma for several weeks.

Feeding tube, respirator, and eventually a treach.during this time, they found a small nodule on my left upper lobe. However, they were more concerned about stabilizing my other problems so they put this on the back burner. To make a long story short, I was just diagnosed with small cell carcinoma. I don't know what stage, but apparently started in Feb. Did not get diagnosed until May 7.
