My husband, a smoker for 50 years, was diagnosed in September 2014 with stage 4 lung cancer. The cancer involves lymph nodes and has advanced to his liver. He had a history of COPD for several years and cancer was found during a routine x-ray. He was started on chemotherapy and after 1 cycle was too weak to continue so now he is taking a month off from meds and treatment. I am his only support. It seems like friends and family have disappeared one at a time. I don't know what to expect or what comes next. The doctor doesn't say much except wait and see.
