In April 2010, my husband Bob was diagnosed with stage for non-small cell lung cancer. He fought hard, enduring multiple rounds of radiation and chemotherapy. He was also involved in many clinical trials. Cancer eventually went to his brain and he passed away in May 2011.
Today I walk in his memory but I also walking honor of my friend Martha who is beating the odds due to the continued research a medical breakthroughs for lung cancer. My family would like to think that some of the clinical trials Bob was part of is helping others to live longer better lives.
