James M.

Hi, my name is James M. and my mother Rose passed away on the 4th of July, two days after her 63rd birthday, due to COPD.

I walked with my mother every step of the way. We faced this mountain head on and we climbed until God said it was enough. I love and miss her every day, and not a moment goes by that I don't think about her. In the face of adversity we smiled and never gave up hope.

I started climbing with the Lung Association in representation of her to make her proud, and she loved it when she saw the pictures of me climbing those steps. But even in her passing, death and lung diseases didn't get the last word as I held her after in the last moments it appeared as if she had fallen asleep, no pain or trouble. I handed God the stick because I know he has the last leg of the race.
