I was urged by my husband to go back to my doctor with a lingering cough for two months after having bronchitis. My chest xray looked suspicious. This led to seemingly endless tests and doctors. On August 2, 2013 I was diagnosed with stage iv non small cell lung cancer of my left lung. It had already spread to my chest wall and 1 lymph node. I have had 4 different chemotherapy drugs in different combinations. I am about to start my 5th one next week and my oncologist tells me this is my last option. I'm not a candidate for surgery or radiation. The cancer has now spread to my right lung and another lymph node. I really don't feel as sick as they tell me I am. What a blessing from God! I pray for a new drug option but God is still in control of my life however long or short that may be.
