My mom was a healthy 40 years plus nonsmoker who one day developed laryngitis and was on antibiotics for it. After 2 weeks of seeing the doctor for this condition and antibiotics the doctor ordered a chest X-ray to see what was going on. She was then diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. A month later she passed. I then became involved with The American Lung Association. I have started a Fight for Air Walk in my home town. I have wrote letters to Congress to voice my opinion on what should be done to early detect Lung Cancer. I feel if we can diagnosis Lung Cancer sooner we would have a lower death rate!!! We need to SAY IT, FIGHT IT,CURE IT!! We can't give up HOPE!!!
