Wow I don’t even know where to start other than I am the perfect advocate for low dose lung screening as it saved my life. I was a former smoker and discussed doing a low dose lung screening in 2020. We repeated the screening and continued to watch a suspicious nodule that was growing. It wasn’t looking good so I had part of my upper lung removed with lymph nodes. I had stage one small cell lung cancer. No treatments were needed other than the surgery. The doctor was able to remove everything. I never had one symptom or would have had anything checked if it was not for low dose lung screening. I want to be the biggest advocate for low dose lung screenings.

I'm getting the word out and telling everyone my story because it saved my life. I have a T-shirt that says ask me about low dose lung screening and how it saved me. People have expressed that they never did it because they are scared of the results and if something isn’t broken don’t fix it. I say fix it before it gets broken beyond repair. I am the perfect candidate for getting the word and saving lives. I had my surgery done in Phoenix. I will be monitored every six months and I am nine days post surgery. I am a 60 year old, mother, grandmother, wife and daughter and glad to be around.  Thank you and hoping to make a difference through my story. Please share my success story, I know my doctor is going to share my story because it is a success story. Thank you again and cheers to low dose screening.
