I was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer at the age of 46. I am a non-smoker, grew-up in a smoke-free home, not exposed to second hand smoke and no family history of lung cancer. My lung cancer was found on a CT scan while at the ER with blood clots in both lungs. If it were not for the blood clots, I would now be living with lung cancer and not know it. Only God knows when I would have been diagnosed and what my survival rate would have been. I feel like the luckiest person on Earth. It breaks my heart to hear so my stories of the ones who are/were not as lucky as me. I definitely live life differently. I appreciate every breath I take. I know what is important in life and I don't take for granted anything. I love everyone and I love life.
