I’m 45 years old and was diagnosed in December 2021 with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma of the lungs. I underwent chemotherapy for four months and immunotherapy for nine months. It has been a struggle with side effects of treatment and even cancer itself. I overcame pneumonia and a blood clot in my superior vena cava, and now I am showing no evidence of disease as of 2023. I’ve had to build my endurance back up a little at a time, and my hips feel as if I’m over a hundred years old. I still have daily struggles with the side effects of treatment, but I am blessed beyond measure. I take each day one day at a time and lean on my faith for strength and guidance.
