My father (age 85) has suddenly lost his voice. An ENT doctor suggested a CT scan, and the CT scan showed a small lump in his lungs. An oncologist suggested for a PET CT.
Finally they discovered a 4.5 cm x 3 cm tumor inside his lung that has to be operated immediately. But, he also said, the cancer has not caused the voice cord damage. My father is physically weak and I don't think he can go for surgery. (Even PET CT was too much on him.) I am hoping a.) Cancer is not aggressive in his old age, and b.) It may not spread to other parts. For that I am planning to get simple CT or chest X-ray again after two months to see whether the tumor is growing or if there is anything else I can do.
