Several years ago I remember my cousin texting me and telling me her mom had lung cancer. The next time I saw my aunt she was on constant oxygen. I really thought she was going to beat this because at one point she was no longer on 24 hours O2 just at night and she went back to work.
Unfortunately, my aunt died March 2015. My father's brother is a widow and my cousins have lost their mother. We are a small close knit family so this is a loss that we still feel. My aunt LOVED orchids so every time I see orchids I know she is watching me and helping me thru this life.
