- Find a specialist to help you manage your sarcoidosis and determine which treatment options are best for you.
- Learn how your medication affects you and what side effects to expect if you have been prescribed medications by your healthcare provider.
- Protect your lungs by staying up to date with vaccinations recommended by your healthcare provider.
- Quit smoking which is one of the most important decisions you can make for your health. Also, reduce your exposure to secondhand smoke. The American Lung Association offers programs and resources to help quit smoking.
- Eating healthy will be an important part of managing your disease.
- Talk to your healthcare provider about staying active and what type of activity is right for you. Staying active can improve your energy and improve your symptoms.
- Connect with others through in person, virtual or online support groups.
