Dr. S. Christy Sadreameli is a pediatric pulmonologist at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where she takes care of pediatric patients of all ages with a variety of pulmonary conditions. She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and completed her fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Johns Hopkins.
Dr. Sadreameli believes that reducing and eliminating exposure to tobacco is vital to the health of the entire family and loves to encourage and support her patients and their families in their efforts to stop smoking. Dr. Sadreameli conducts research related to the pulmonary complications of sickle cell disease, including asthma and asthma-like symptoms, and the impact of environmental exposures such as secondhand tobacco smoke and allergens have on these and other pulmonary and non-pulmonary outcomes.
Dr. Sadreameli is an expert in pediatric asthma, with additional expertise in the health effects of air pollution, tobacco cessation, lung health legislation and advocacy, general asthma, indoor air quality, children's lung health, youth smoking rates, vaccination, and the benefits of changing the legal age for tobacco sales to 21.
