Cleveland’s 10th Annual Walk Returns to Metro Zoo on September 29

The Cleveland community at large is invited to the 10th annual LUNG FORCE Walk, presented by The Cleveland Clinic Integrated Hospital Care Institute, at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo (3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, OH 44109) on September 29 at 9 a.m.

Friends and families can enjoy a nice fall morning walk and Zoo visit for a good cause. The event is held to support lifesaving research, local programs and advocacy for the 1.6 million people in Ohio suffering from lung disease.

WHO: Registration is open for the event which welcomes hundreds of families, friends, co-workers, including lung disease survivors and loved ones. Participants will come from across the greater Cleveland area, throughout Ohio and surrounding area.

WHAT: Participants will enjoy a 5K route (untimed) through the Cleveland Zoo (which will be closed to the public during the event) or they can choose a shorter 1-mile option. The Lung Association encourages you to join us at this community event for celebration, education and comradery. Registration for individuals and teams for the LUNG FORCE Walk is free, but fundraising is encouraged to support the mission of the American Lung Association. Participants will receive complimentary Zoo admission and free parking at the event if they arrive by 9:30 a.m.

WHEN: Saturday, September 29, 2024. Check-in starts at 8AM; Walk kicks-off at 9AM.

WHY: The fundraising goal for this year’s Cleveland LUNG FORCE Walk is $90,000. Funds raised at the event will support the Lung Association’s efforts toward a world without lung cancer and lung disease.
