REGISTRATION NOW OPEN: American Lung Association’s 14th Annual Fight For Air Climb New York Returns to PENN 1 on March 22

More than 2.88 million New York residents are living with chronic lung disease, including asthma, COPD, and lung cancer. This year, the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb New York City returns to PENN1 on March 22, 2025, challenging participants to climb 1,099 stairs—55 floors—to raise critical funds and awareness for lung health.  The event aims to raise over $195,000 for the organization’s mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research, education, and advocacy.

Now in its 14th year, the Fight for Air Climb welcomes climbers of all levels, from competitive athletes to first-time participants. The event also features the Firefighter Challenge, where local firefighters and first responders will climb in full 50-pound gear, raising awareness of the increased risk of lung disease faced by those in their profession.
