Gayle Ann Traver Pulmonary Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship has been established with an anonymous donation made in honor of Gayle Ann Traver, RN, MSN, a pioneer in the field of pulmonary nursing. She wrote some of the first texts and publications describing nursing's role in the care of respiratory patients. She has inspired advanced practice nurses for decades with her tenacity, dedication and professionalism. It is because of these qualities that we dedicate this scholarship in her name. It is the donor's wish that a qualified and deserving nurse receive financial support towards the goal of advanced education and training in respiratory medicine in order to provide patients with lung disease the highest order of care.

The 2024 Gayle Ann Traver Pulmonary Scholarship cycle is now closed and we are no longer accepting applications. The next scholarship cycle will open in the spring of 2026.
