Emily DiMango, MD is Director of the John Edsall/John Wood Asthma Center at Columbia University Medical Center. In addition to acting as the Principal Investigator for the Airways Clinical Research Centers at Columbia, Dr. DiMango also serves as the site Principle Investigator for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics Development Network. Dr. DiMango has a successful track record of leading complex and multidisciplinary clinical research studies in asthma and cystic fibrosis. Dr. DiMango has worked with local community based organizations to provide education to individuals with asthma. She has been awarded several federally funded grants aimed at understanding asthma in New York City, with particular emphasis on community education and study of the impact of allergen and trigger avoidance on asthma. She has served on multiple Steering Committees for asthma and cystic fibrosis and is a consultant for the Anesthesiology and Respiratory Therapy devices panel of the Food and Drug Administration.
