The Duke Clinical Research Unit (DCRU) is a state-of-the-art hospital-based research unit that allows investigators from Duke and elsewhere to conduct proof-of-concept research in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. In addition to early-stage investigator-initiated studies and National Institutes of Health funded research, Duke researchers also work with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies. The DCRU provides the clinical research infrastructure to support investigators in the design, initiation, conduct, and reporting of interdisciplinary and collaborative clinical and translational research.
